After working as a cultural correspondent for the Center for American Progress and editor-in-chief of The Fader magazine, Wagner moved into advocacy work as executive director at Not On Our Watch Project.
Before becoming a part of The Huffington Post, Wagner fulfilled the role of White House correspondent for Politics Daily. Later, she was appointed as a judge on the television network MSNBC and made several guest appearances, including “The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell” and “Countdown with Keith Olbermann”.
